DoubleTree by Hilton St. Anne's Manor

Good family trip to Hilton St Anne’s Manor. We were over to visit Lapland Uk and stayed here as convenient. The checkin was as expected of a Hilton but where the exceeded all expectations was the friendly and facilitating service of their restaurant team - special credit to Mohammed - who made our family feel very welcome and accommodated every request , big or small. The one significant issue we had was that the family rooms are next to the main ventilation units for the hotel so were quite noisy and the windows were filling with black mould. We raised this to the hotel on departure; unfortunately they haven't deemed it necessary to address or respond to date.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing spa day and tea for two. The treatments and spa facilities were excellent and incredibly relaxing and the service was excellent . Afterwards, we enjoyed coffee for two — the food and coffee were delicious. The restaurant staff were so polite and attentive, checking on us often and making sure everything was perfect. They kindly provided a vegetarian sandwich stand for me and a meat option for my wife, which was really appreciated. Our server was lovely, and both managers came by to check on us as well. Fantastic service from start to finish — highly recommend!

Overall, a very good hotel and an enjoyable stay. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, creating a lovely atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The swimming pool area is excellent, and having access to both a sauna and steam room is a real bonus. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, and the shower has fantastic water pressure. Breakfast was tasty with a good selection, and the 24-hour gym is a big plus for me. Free parking is also very convenient. The staff were pleasant, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay, which made a real difference. The only downside was that in some rooms the plug sockets aren’t located next to the bed, which can be a little frustrating when charging devices overnight.

Regular visitor. Service is always great, rooms are always clean. Nice view of Deer in the garden at night. All good, just wish they would get the jacuzzi back up and running. Otherwise all good.

I stayed here 2 weeks ago. I had a work event at Farnborough. Even managed to fit in a swim and made use of the gym and sauna/Steam room. The staff from check in to check out couldn’t be more helpful. The food for both evening meal and breakfast was amazing. Thank you to all of the team. I had a great nights sleep.

We stayed at the hotel while taking our daughter to Lapland Ascot. For £130 including bed and breakfast, it offered good value. It’s only about 15 minutes from Lapland and perfectly placed for the journey home. The room was clean and tidy, but the pillows were very poor quality and went completely flat. The restaurant itself was pleasant, though the food felt more like pub grub than proper restaurant dining. Another disappointment was that none of the EV chargers were working. There’s a nice pool and gym on-site, but the pool water was a bit too cool for the kids. Overall, it’s good value for money and a decent option for a Lapland visit stopover.

I frequently stay at Hilton hotels when I travel, and this was my first stay at the Hilton Hampton in Wokingham. I decided to try their virtual check-in via the app, and it worked seamlessly, right up until I got to the room. The main issue was that the room’s power required a physical card in a wall slot, and of course with a virtual check-in, I didn’t have a card. I ended up rummaging for a credit card to use as a substitute,not exactly ideal. When I entered the room, it was freezing cold because the windows had been left open, and for some odd reason all the cabinets and drawers were open as well. That said, the room did warm up quickly and was otherwise spacious with a nice large bathroom. The hotel itself was very clean and the reception staff were really friendly. The downside was definitely the restaurant. The lighting in the restaurant was very stark and felt dated, like something out of the 1980s, which made it a rather unpleasant environment. The restaurant staff were not particularly friendly, more perfunctory, and I had a chicken tikka masala that was just average. They also kept asking for my room number repeatedly, both at dinner and at breakfast the next day, which was a bit off-putting. Breakfast had a good selection, but again, staff were not friendly and the restaurant was not welcoming. Overall, it was a clean and friendly hotel outside of the restaurant experience. I would stay again, but I’d probably avoid the restaurant next time.

The hotel is so lovely and warm very important in this time of the year. Even the room was warmed up. The room very clean and cosy. The staff were lovely especially Dali the bar staff, who should definitely be promoted as a manager is professionalism and manners are what you look for in such establishment. He was very friendly and attentive although we can see that he was very busy and could have used some help. On the other hand the pool was closed, which was really unfortunate. Breakfast was lovely too. Overall it was a great stay.
